Thus, when Bernard was offered to play as part of Wentworth Golf Club, they had to move to Virginia Water. At that time, Kirsty was just one and a half years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the time came to choose a study place for the girl, the family settled on Coworth Flexlands School. However, everything was decided for Kirsty by a happy accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the dinner, dedicated to The Ryder Cup, she met Mark Sharman. The latter then held the position of deputy head of sport at Sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sky is a well-known British broadcasting and telecommunications company. It provides television and Internet services, as well as provides users with mobile communications. Sharman offered her a job in the company. Thus, in 1996, Kirsty became a production assistant. The girl liked this work and very soon she was to be promoted to the post of editorial assistant on Sky Sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"New_level\"><\/span>New level<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kirsty achieved great success and demonstrated excellent results. Her work on TV turned out to be so successful that soon she went beyond the sports genre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, in 2000, Gallacher became the host of <em>Kirsty&#8217;s Home Videos<\/em>. She appeared in many projects as a permanent presenter or a guest star.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some of them were <em>Simply the Best<\/em>, <em>They Think It&#8217;s All Over<\/em>, <em>A Question of Sport<\/em>, <em>Only Fools on Horses<\/em>, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Return\"><\/span>Return<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TV presenters often return to the channels or projects from which they started their activities. Kirsty was no exception either. In 2011, she returned to Sky Sports as a presenter on Sky Sports News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In August 2015, it became known that the beloved TV presenter would take part in the legendary show <em>Strictly Come Dancing<\/em>. Her partner was professional dancer Brendan Cole. However, this cooperation lasted only nine months. In December 2021, Gallacher announced that she was leaving the channel due to the discovery of a benign tumour of her internal auditory canal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The story of Kirsty Gallacher is an example of how one lucky chance can change a life forever.
